Greetings to you in the name of my God and Father,
I bring you Peace, Grace, Love and Respect.

It is with great humility that I give you an insight into the birth of Rhema Global Academy. This noble institution was conceived some 20 years ago, and was birthed on the 1^ST January 2018.

The desire arose during my early years of teaching when I felt that enough was not being done to chart the course of those persons who were considered slow learners. This became more prominent during my recent years in the classroom and as Head Teacher of two institutions in Guyana. As I watched the way these learners were handled, I told myself that I would build my own school so that all students could enjoy an equal opportunity at learning. I love my students, and I am never weary of them. God has blessed me with the patience to work with them for their greater good.

My belief that every child has the ability to learn, has driven me to believe in each of my charges. It drove me to work with them, allowing them to teach me until they began to believe in themselves. It is a labour of love. I know in order to positively influence them, I must first connect, and connect I did. I watched in amazement as the beauty petals unfolded before my very eyes – many who were slated to become a nobody began to find value in themselves. It was beautiful and I wanted more.

During my period as Head Teacher at a certain Secondary School, I examined the Misdemeanor Book. I discovered that many of the young men, who were not conforming to the laws of the Guyana society during a rocky period in its history of criminal activities, were actually exhibiting those signs since they were in school. I deemed their behaviour as ones crying out for help but never received. I vowed that every student attending that Secondary School from then onward would contribute meaningfully to society. It was an uphill battle but we made it. I give the fight over to God and we are winning.

Imagine how proud I was with our 2013 CSEC results (exams taken at the end of high school) when a certain student secured five (5) Grade ones and two (2) Grade twos (1 is the highest). He was granted a Government Scholarship to the University of Guyana, completed his Degree in Environmental Science with Credit. It was an awesome moment. Many of our students secured passes, and went on to continue their studies, some at Guyana School of Agriculture and many other institutions.

I believe that each of us is born with “Seeds of Greatness” and the quality of our harvest depends highly on the type of soil in which we are planted along with the persons who are watering those seeds. We, at Rhema Global Academy, will give you the right nourishment to enable you to be firmly rooted and grounded to contribute to your society. We set very high standards and uphold strong values.
